Meet Your Guide

Josette

Born and raised in The Netherlands, Josette studied biology in college and fell in love with Canada during a trip for her graduation project 1994. During this life changing experience, she spent 6 weeks on the Slate Islands in Lake Superior, Ontario exploring the wilderness of these remote islands. Many more trips within Canada later, she and her partner made the move to call Canada home.

Once in Canada, Josette focused on more training and experience.

Josette is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and truly excited to share her experiences with others.

As a Biology Teacher , with strong interests in the geology, nature and wildlife found in Western Canada, Josette’s familiarity of the area will add many memories to your vacation.

As an experienced hiking Guide, Tour Director and Trip Planner, Josette will ensure your vacation with Tracks Outdoor is unforgettable.

The tag line for the area is “Waterfalls, Wilderness and Wildlife” and it is all in abundance in Wells Gray Park! The most famous waterfall in the Park is Helmcken Falls at 142 m which is taller than Niagara Falls! You will spend endless hours exploring the wonders of this park and never back track. From volcanic remnants to wilderness canoe camping and hiking; horseback riding to scenic flight tours; snowshoeing to Nordic skiing; backcountry ski touring to dogsledding...it is all here!
